Extra Curricular
"To complement your child's education at Foothill Christian School, we offer many optional Extra Curricular opportunities which have their own requirements. Below we have listed a brief description of this year's classes, lessons, or organizations. For more information, simple click on the underlined items.
Student Council provides an opportunity for junior high students to experience and learn about leadership roles based on constitutional, democratic principles. School spirit activities, socials, and leading by example are some of Student Council's responsibilities.
National Junior Beta Club is an honors service club for 7-8th grade students ... qualifying 6th grade students are issued invitations during fourth quarter. Students must maintain a high GPA, have exemplary conduct, and participate in community service.
ACSI Events and Competitions occur throughout the year ... Spelling Bee, Speech Meet, Piano Festival, Junior High Leadership Conference, Choral Festival, and Math Olympics.
Our Choirs are among our most popular performing arts activities. The Sonshine Singers is the elementary choir composed of 4th & 5th grade students. Tryouts are required for the junior high Show Choir in which students sing and dance. This group hosts the annual junior high talent show ... which, due to popularity, is SRO (standing room only).
Private Piano lessons on campus are offered to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Many of our students participate in the Piano Festival as well as perform during chapel or other school assemblies. Contract and Registration Form
Individualized and whole group Band instrument lessons are available to students in third through eighth grades. Lessons are offered in flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and clarinet. If you want to be in this program and don't have an instrument, we may have one for FCS students to rent for FREE with a refundable security deposit.
Science Adventures is an after school Science Club bringing fun hands-on science to children in grades K through 6th. Please pickup information flyer in office.
Charter Oak Gymnastics brings their traveling gym to the Baseline campus for students in grades K through 2nd. Please pickup information flyer in office.
Elementary Cheerleading is popular among students in grades K through 5th. They love learning cheers and dance routines.
Through Foothill Christian Center, students may join in a variety of exciting programs such as Royal Rangers for boys, Missionettes for girls, and Youth Group for junior high co-eds."
